The red carpet is just as much about beauty as it is fashion. I really can’t wait to the day that E! asks about the makeup! I think we’re getting close. We have a mani cam, right? Speaking of, how many nude-toned nails did we see in that thing last night? I was scanning the red carpet for glamorous beauty looks and I found it in Jessica Chastain. I admired the muted lip that pulled part berry, part red and the pop of gold on the eyelid brightened everything up. And the lashes were pretty insane, too. Her makeup artist Kristofer Buckle gave me the scoop via Twitter on what he used to create Jessica’s look. The sheer gold lid was courtesy of Lancome Color Design Shadow in Filigree which Buckle used all over the lid with “a little snap” of on the outer corner. (Note: Filing that trick away for future use.) Lashes were also Lancome, the newest Hypnose Star, and her lip was created with YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in #4, Rouge in Danger.
While 140 characters couldn’t quite tell the story of her glowing skin, I think we can all agree that it was radiant, right? Who stood out to you on the red carpet? Did you watch?
I didn’t watch the red carpet, but did witness many of the tweets and subsequent Pinterest excitement!! Jessica Chastain is drop dead beautiful to begin with, and her makeup enhanced it even more!! Gonna have to check out that YSL lippie…

The lady who struck me the most was Nina Dobrev…mainly because I am a sucker for pink and absolutely LOOOOOVED her dress 🙂
